Since 1984, they have sought to bring medical relief throughout much of Asia, Africa, and Latin America--initially with humanitarian missions in 12 countries and now with tele-health, education, and training. Being affiliated with leading medical teaching institutions helps them bring greater linkage between more and less privileged societies. Currently they are placing special emphasis on their pilot project in Cambodia. Medicorps is especially interested in finding American medical students and residents to include overseas assignments as part of their educational experiences, and experienced medical professionals willing to share their knowledge and skills physically and via the internet. |
