They collect new pacemakers and defibrillators from manufacturers that can be provided at no cost to indigent heart patients in over 30 developing countries. Recipients have been of all ages--newborn to elderly. Eventually they want to extend their reach to underserved communities around the globe. This is not to be confused with programs in other organizations where by used pacemakers can be sterilized and recycled for overseas use. |
