Since 1974, this non-profit humanitarian organization has helped over 384,000 people worldwide. They provide medical, surgical, and educational services to disadvantaged blind individuals in over 75 developing countries. Their primary mission is to send volunteer professionals abroad to perform cataract surgery. These must be board-certified ophthalmologists in active surgical practice.
