Globus Relief helps other charities obtain medical and other humanitarian supplies. Globus does this by gathering corporate surplus, processing and packaging goods for use, and distributing those medical supplies to charity partners serving the needy at home and abroad. In 2004, they provide $22.6 million worth of aid to 200 charities throughout the world. Their website lists current medical supplies and other goods available and the administrative fee (usually 15% of wholesale cost). On May 1, 2005, DreamWeaver Medical (a near by group that specialized in surgical supplies) merged into them. |
