REMEDY(based at Yale-New Haven Hospital since 1991) has helped approximately 500 hospitals--large and small--learn to recover clean, unused medical supplies from operating rooms so they can be recycled for overseas use.  Their "AIRE-mail" (Agencies for International Relief E-mail) links together donors and recipients of medical equipment and supplies thorugh e-mail notices to its member organizations.  REMEDY's free Inservice Teaching Packet contains all the information needed for hospitals to establish programs to recycle medical goods.

Their Med-Eq program (formerly AIRe-mail) links donors and recipients of medical equipment and supplies to member organizations. See it at www.med-eq.org
