They recycle surplus medical supplies and equipment (but not pharmaceuticals) for use by healthcare institutions in developing countries. Since 1988, MedShare has shipped over one hundred 40-foot containers of medical supplies and equipment to over 400 medical missions--helping underserved people in 72 countries. In October 2006, MedShare hosted the first national meeting of Medical Supply Recovery Organizations. 17 participated -- see MedShare's website for the story. |
