JAF Ministries/Wheels for the World E-mail

After Joni Eareckson Tada had a sudden injury that left her unable to move her arms or legs, she established this Christian ministry—of which Wheels for the World (WFTW) is one of five programs reaching out to the disabled. WFTW collects, restores, and distributes wheelchairs overseas to the poor and needy in emerging countries. By the end of 2009, they expect to distribute a cumulative total of over 57,000 wheelchairs to 102 countries. Seventeen U.S. prisons have programs in which inmates restore WFTW wheelchairs for shipping. Their website has many links about various physical and mental disorders and resources to deal with them.
