Originally known as "Indigenous People's Technology," I-TEC seeks to help in some of the more remote areas of the developing world. They are especially involved in creating portable dental operatory equipment that can easily be carried in a backpack and used with solar power. One 33-pound package includes a special dental exam chair (described and illustrated on their website). I-TEC also has several new programs and products for missions--including basic health care, eye care and glasses, and even an airborne "Flying Car".
